You knew damn well what I was talking about. A stick can be started without jumper cables. With an automatic, why the hell else would he want to put his car in neutral? And bad spark plugs, or misfiring ones can create a car to not be able to turn over. Exactly how long have you been working on Mustangs? Your knowledge appears to be lacking.
Ummm...to push it out of the garage. It won't cause a battery to die. I was right on, and you were way off, but my knowledge is lacking. I'm not the one that dropped six bills on a tuneup and alternator swap.
If you had bad plugs, the car would turn over but not start. Bad plugs will never cause a clicking noise.
Man, I work in IT and even I knew that... If it's a battery issue go to an auto parts store or something and get one of those portable jumpers. Everyone should probably have one of those - it saved my butt when a defective battery nearly left me stranded in the middle of nowhere.
LOL, you guys are going to love this. My car is working now. I ended up calling a guy to come tow it to the dealership. Before towing it, he decided to take a look at it and had it fixed in about 2 minutes. Apparently there was a large amount of corrosion on the connectors to the battery. He cleaned that up with some hot water, hooked up the jumper cables, and bam it worked. Now I know how people feel when I make fun of them for not knowing **** about computers.
F*cker. When did you realize that telling us that would have helped? jk . Glad it worked out. My battery went out and I replaced the connectors. You still need to have someone check that battery, for that's what caused it to not connect properly, and it may have wasted the charge on your battery. You still need them to connect securely and tightly on the poles.
It could be worse. At least you never started a thread to ask how to download a soundcard... BTW, I always defer to R2K or codell for all car problems.
