It doesn’t help that I’m visiting relatives and this bed is hard as ****... But I woke up at 2:30 and haven’t been able to go back to sleep. Can’t stop thinking about game 6. If you’re thinking it’s ridiculous that something like this should keep someone up all night... I understand, and my friends and family agree with you.

I have this weird confidence that we’re going to play really well. I’m expecting the role players to really step up. I think Gordon will be hella aggressive, which we need. I just worry that without CP that it won’t be enough. I can’t wait to see the dynamic between him and Harden during this game. Because I do think, in order to win this game, Harden needs to have a career defining game. I’m the biggest Harden defender there is, but even I cannot deny that the last time he was in this spot he failed miserably! I have no doubts that if Harden had CPs mindset, he would deliver. I think Harden is an all time great basketball player, he simply must prove it later tonight!

I think starting out, we need to blitz them! They’re gonna have a comfort about them, being that they’re at home. We need to be ultra-aggressive offensively and defensively! Catch them off guard and take an early lead. The encouraging thing is the defense shouldn’t skip a beat without CP. Sure, we’ll miss his individual defense against Steph, but Gordon has been incredible defensively, and it’s been more about team defense than individual defense anyway. So assuming our defense travels, can we manufacture the offense that CP has been able to produce over the last two games. Which isn’t even THAT much, but it’s been timely as hell!

Bottom line, there are three possible outcomes from this game:
    1. James Harden gets legendary on their asses and we win the freaking thing and go to the finals.
    2. The absence of CP is too much to overcome and we get run out of the building. GS carries that confidence to a game 7 win, we all wonder what could’ve been if CP were healthy.
    3. We fight our butts off. Play well, but come up a hair short. CP returns for game 7 and we show why we fought so hard for home court advantage. Take the W and head to the finals.

We’ll see what happens. I just know this, I love this team! This has been an incredible ride! And it would be an absolute travesty if the only thing that keeps this team from a title is a bad hamstring... And that’s what’s keeping me up right now!

    3 years ago from yesterday, James Harden's stat line - 45pts, 13/22 shooting, 7/11 from 3, 12/13 FT's, 9 reb, 5 asst, 2 stls, 2 blks

Rockets won that game against GSW in the WCF, 128-115.

I think this is the kind of effort it's gonna take from James for the Rockets to come out on top tonight. Gotta play hard and fast, and in good ol' MilkHair's words, "no sticky ball"! Do what you did game 2 - ISO quick, get the ball moving quick and early in the shot clock and keep GSW's defense off balance.

And for the love of God, please make your damn layups! This goes for the rest of the team too!

Howdy y'all. Welcome to the "sleepless in Houston" club. In for my favorite eldest granddaughter's graduation. Woke up & couldn't get back to sleep. My worry is that without CP3's ball handling, GS will double Harden to get the ball out of his hands, because we really don't any other ball handlers.

Couldn’t sleep either. Have that weird feeling. Nervous. Like going to school for the first day. Like waiting for someone to get out of surgery . Like I’m about to face life in prison. Please lord. Bless us!

Pretty much mirror your thoughts. I think our guys will play their asses off, rallying around Paul’s absence, and Harden will put up 40. This IS the NBA finals, I honestly wouldn’t even care if they lost against cleveland next round without paul.

We are about to witness history. Rockets 103-101, I have foreseen it.

I slept well last night. Thursday was my birthday and all day Thursday I felt the Rockets would come
    through at home.

Like you I have this sense that the Rockets have this fog of euphoria from the last win, enough to raise
the Rockets level of play to a sky high stratosphere type amount. The role players will play out of
    their minds.

Harden excels, Gordon gets 24 points, GG goes for about 21 points (with about 5 or 6 threes) and plays even better
than he did in game 4 (at Oracle), Ariza and Luc give us about 10 to 12 points each.

Rockets nail 16 three pointers as a team in about 42 attempts. 12 turnovers or less vs the Warriors 15 turnovers (game 6 prediction).

In the 8 games the Rockets have played in the regular season and playoffs: only one game has not been decided by
the turnover battle. The second meeting of the regular season was won by the Warriors while having more turnovers than Houston.

I’m not big on the turnover stat; but it does seem to favor the winner in this almost equally matched team’s showdowns.
    Oct 17th: GSW 17 (TO’s)/ Rockets 12 (TO’s).........Rockets won
    Jan 4: Rockets 10 (TO’s)/ GSW 12 (TO’s)..........Warriors won
    Jan 20: Rockets 15 (TO’s)/ GSW 19 (TO’s)............Rockets won
    Game 1: Rockets 13 (TO’s)/ GSW 9 (TO’s)............Warriors won
    Game 2: Rockets 13 (TO’s)/ GSW 15 (TO’s)...........Rockets won
    Game 3: GSW 8 (TO’s)/ Rockets 19 (TO’s).............Warriors won
    Game 4: GSW 16 (TO’s)/ Rockets 10 (TO’s)...........Rockets won
    Game 5: Rockets 10 (TO’s)/ GSW 16 (TO’s)...........Rockets won

Game 6?: Rockets 115 points ...Warriors 104: Rockets 16 (3PM), less turnovers than GSW. Yet to be determined

    Let’s do it Rockets.

It’s your World......the Warriors are just renting space. The moment is too big for Cook, Looney and Bell

Going to need good offensive games from Harden, Clint, Gordon, and get something from Luc.

They can win if the defense stays locked in.
