Only time I saw Nirvana live. Couldn't go to the Pearl Jam gig because I had Friday Night Football commitments.

Joint Chiefs and Sprawl bring back foggy memories.

Never got to see the Pixies, that's a regret.

Oh damn. Those were great days regarding music. Houston had a better scene than most thought. Hate to be that old guy that says things aren’t as good as they once were, but…

Oh wow. I saw countless great shows at Numbers. Wanted to go see Gary Numan the other night.

Really hard to say… Nails, Ministry and Skinny Pupppy were standouts for me.

All great shows. Land of Rape and Honey tour and Mind is a terrible thing to taste.... so good. Puppy and Revco were awesome too. Numbers was a great venue.

I saw Pavement at Numbers. It was a great night. It was also a horrible night. Malkmus is a big basketball fan and was checking on the NBA playoff scores periodically in between songs. He announced that the Rockets lost 103-100 to the Jazz. Yep...it was THAT game. May 29, 1997.

I know I saw a few other concerts at Numbers, but I can't recall which bands. The only other one I know for sure was Helmet (with the Melvins, who I didn't even appreciate yet ). I think I'm a bit younger than some others on the board who got to see the frickin' Pixies in their prime. My first concert was Green Day in 1995 at the Astro Arena.

Still is a great venue imo. The one thing that hasn’t changed a lick in Houston is Numbers. I can appreciate that.

Haha. I was there too. Definitely showing their age, but keep plugging away. Those are some of the nicest guys I’ve ever met in the business. They’re all business, no partying, but are so cool and laid back.

Definitely makes me think some of us have come across each other at a show at some point.

Toadies were/are doing shows where they play the rubberneck album for it's 25 year anniversary. I forgot how great that album was.

i know this has nothing to do with the thread, but thought i'd share regardless

@Xerobull ...are you running low on AOL dial up minutes? I've seen a recent dropoff in Marvel and ThisOrThat thread starts.
