No link but according to his interview on 610... The guy wishes he was back in as houston playing for the Rockets Moe
He's in Houston for the weekend. Here's the link to the interview http://houston.cbslocal.com/2011/02/17/carl-landry-on-being-a-free-agent-landlord/
Would take him over Scola considering salary. One has to wonder what his salary would be if not for Morey's dirty negotiating tactics.
I know! DM is so dirty! How DARE he let the market determine his salary? What a creep! Supply and demand should NEVER determine someone's pay!
I never wanted him to leave. He did a lot for us. I wouldn't mind exchanging him for Luis, even though I like Luis a lot.
Isn't this the last year on his contract? If so, we may as well play it like the Knicks with the whole Melo situation and just wait to sign him as a free agent in the offseason. If we could get him in a deal along with D. Cousins...then I would definitely go for it. But as far as us making a deal for Carl individually, I think it would be better to save our assets for another trade.
What we have missed since Landry has been gone is an effective scorer off the bench that has the ability to score in the 4th quarter. I would love to have him back.
Lets see... 1) Undersized PF 2) Plays NO defense and has trouble rebounding 3) Is a SCRAPPY player Yep, sounds like a perfect match...welcome back Carl "The Tooth" Landry!
The market for a player is a little different once that player's health is called in to question by his GM. Do you disagree? Incidentally, there were no questions about said player's health after the qualifying offer was put forth.
Of course he would want to come back. He's sucking in Sacremento, and was posting some impressive clutch stats during his heyday
Why not take him back? Morey won't overpay. A Patterson/Landry rotation at the 4 sounds reasonable and it allows us to trade Scola for a center or a good 3.
Yeah, backwards would be so much worse than now. 09-10 win percentage(w/Landry)--.528 (28-25) 10-11 win percentage--.456 (26-31)
