Like the Texans, there are pieces for a very quick turnaround in Tampa Bay if a quarterback can be found.
Why? I'm not suggesting TB isn't capable of outperforming the Texans next season. I'm saying I do not want Lovie Smith as the Texans head coach.
Lovie is Kubiak. Read through Bears' fans complaints and it's identical. Too conservative..terrible management of the clock... Lovie would have been a safe pick in that he had experience as head coach in the NFL...but I see Lovie and Kubiak as being too similar in style for my tastes.
Seems like a good fit. I think TB's cap situation sucks though. But I think Detroit might have been the better place for him. I'd rather he have a good offense to help carry him. What's he going to do with Glennon?
Upside. The goal should be to have the best chance to be great, not the best chance to be good but less chance to be great. We know Lovie is good, but not likely great. BOB might be great, might be good, might be mediocre.
Funny how Tampa interviewed or at least considered two of the most conservative mismanagers of time and space for their head coaching position. Their defense is better than their offense so I would have taken Lovie over Kubiak as well.
