I didnt see anyone post this but Chris Broussard was just on ESPN and he mentioned the rockets as one of the teams that are trying to trade for Carmelo Anthony (without signing extension) and Marcus Camby. Camby has said he would welcome a trade to Houston, seeing as he has a home here. What do you guys think? I never really considered Broussard as a credible nba insider but all this trade talk involving houston is exciting and having Carmelo and Camby would instantly solve our two biggest problems (go to scorer, and shot blocking, defensive minded, center).
how many so called rumors has Broussard thrown out this past week jeez..ill wait till the 24th till i take anything this guy or anyone says seriously..
This would Improve both of our biggest needs, yet hard to believe portland and denver would agree to this when were a team that could potentially take their playoff spot.
I dont have any links or anything. I just saw him on ESPN and he mentioned a trade for carmelo and camby.
True. But the information here is kind of old-news. We've known that the Rockets are willing to trade for Carmelo without a guarantee on an extension. We've known that Houston was one of the few teams that Camby would be OK being dealt to.I guess the part about us being interested in Camby is new, although it makes sense seeing as we're interested in every big man that can help us. From another thread, was Broussard saying this would be a package deal? In other words, are the Rockets only willing to trade for Camby if they land Carmelo? Would make sense as you only trade for Camby to make a run of it this year with Carmelo.
It's legit, it was discussed in another thread earlier. I believe he was on first take when he said it. Rockets are the ever popular "DARKHORSE" for Melo.
It would improve us where we are currently weak, but we would probably have to trade away players that would create new weaknesses.
Very true, they were also listed on another Brooks article as a team who would start Brooks right away....interesting indeed....
Camby has one more year at $11 million. Then he's a FA just when the big dogs will start barking....he's not a bad get at all...
Even after Patty Mills lit his azz up? It would be downright disguisting if Rockets traded him to Portland and he plays like the old mighty Aaron Brooks.
