[Breaking] Multiple package explosions in Austin

That is great advice. I hope the folks here that live in Austin (like I do) are paying attention. I also hope they find whoever is responsible and that he/she pays a heavy price for being a cowardly murdering *******.

one of the women killed was hispanic. the other victims were black. it could be racially motivated, but it could also be totally random. if you leave a package on a doorstep in the springdale area there is a good chance it will be a black persons home. if you leave a package on a doorstep in gallindo/montopolis odds are it will be a hispanic person. one thing i notice is that the houses targeted are all really close to bike routes and trails going from north to south. very easy for someone on a bike to quickly drop a package and get away.

not to get too paranoid, but its definitely in the back of my head...
the fact that this is happening the week of SXSW is a little unnerving. what if these bombings are a diversion before a big event? if its this easy for someone to leave packages on peoples doorsteps how easy would it be to leave them in a thousand different places around town that could cause major damage/casualties.

We have a Ring. Wonder if that's a deterrent. You'd think so, and perhaps - though racism still a possibility - that's the reason why the cases are all on the East side so far.

You'd think the perpetrator likely scouted the front doors earlier at some point.

The Ring captures a pretty wide angle. My Ring capture basically every car coming into our cul-de-sac because of where i put it. So theoretically it'd all be "protected" in that sense. I know at least one of my immediate neighbors has it as well.

On the East side of Austin they are likely less ubiquitous.
