    ***MAX 12 HOURS PER PICK OR YOU WILL BE SKIPPED***

    I highly encourage everyone to send a list to either myself or someone that picks behind you. If you are at the end of a round where you pick twice and you are skipped, you are skipped for both picks immediately. That's the price you pay for getting to pick back to back. The draft is live and SLOW, so expect delays. We always get through this with a day or so to spare and I expect the same this year. If necessary, we will shorten the time limit as we get closer to the start of the season.

    Make all picks on both of the following sites:
    1) BBS
    2) League website

    As a reminder, to make a pick on the league site, you must login to your team and go to Add/Waive.

    Positions are determined by the ESPN Player Profiles.

    The Draft Order is:

    3 - Fadeaway
    4 - Truthscore
    5 - Moestavern
    6 - RocketsPimp
    7 - l3buddah
    8 - Darkhorse
    9 - Longhorn Fan
    10 - Rocketball
    11 - Ziggy
    12 - Matador
    13 - SamCassell
    14 - PSJ
    15 - Shaggy
    16 - ChrisJent

    Here is the lineup/scoring system:

    12 active players per roster. 1 IR spot for an injured player.

    5 starters (C/PF/SF/SG/G) and 3 flex players per game.

    Scoring Rules:

    Points 1
    Assists 2
    Rebounds 2
    Steals 2
    Blocks 2
    Three Pointers Made 1
    Turnovers -1
    Technical Fouls -3

    Regarding the playoffs, since there is always the real problem of teams sitting players at the end of the season for the playoffs, we will bump our semi's and playoff up 1 week (eliminating the final real game or two).

    OK, I'm back and ready to go, except for that issue. I think I know who I'm taking, but I'd like to see the points for players other than centers -- as well as have the option to choose them, which means I literally can't pick on the site right now. :) But whenever that's resolved, I should be online and able to pick very quickly.

    If I'm the only one who cares I'll go ahead and pick without it, but I'd prefer to be able to see what individual players scored under this scoring system last year... and currently all we can see are centers.

    I was most likely going this direction anyway, but the link definitely helps to confirm. :) Note that I still can't make this pick on the site, but we can draft in this thread until then, I suppose.

    thats a legit pick if he puts up another 14 rpg.

    If he was a 75% FT shooter and cut down the TOs he'd be the NBA's unstoppable force.

    All the "experts" are so down on him because most leagues are roto-based and he's a killer in FT% and TOs. In our format, that doesn't really matter.

    To put things in perspective.

    2007-2008:

    Chris Paul: 56.0 ppg
    Kobe Bryant: 54.5 ppg
    Dwight Howard: 54.3 ppg

    He's legit.

    Could you elaborate on why you feel this way? Howard scored the 4th most points of anyone in this league last year.

    OK, so I've emailed Fanstar to fix the player list. I updated it in the software, but for some reason it's not taking hold. For now, just post the picks here.

    I knew you were going to do that and I hate you for it.

    Bad news. I received a quick reply from Fanstar and they only have it setup for C/F/G in their system, so we are back at square one with the positions. We can either police ourselves or use the system as it is designed.

    I thought we were going to be able to break the positions down because it is configurable. It's their player list that is the problem and I understand why. It goes back to the inconsistencies between player positions we see between sites.
