I would prefer it to be Mallett too because he's younger and would appear to have a higher upside. If he's the one he could be the starter and stabilize the position for the next 7 to 8 years. But if O'Brien is close to making a decision based on what he has already seen it's safe to assume that it's Hoyer.

The truth is none of our qbs are good. We have to go with the least bad option even if that option is older

Well if Mallett can't outplay Hoyer, he doesn't belong in the NFL.

I agree with that, but if Hoyer is better than Mallett, then Mallett is absolute trash.

Any of you guys advocating for Hoyer didn't watch him last year. He was godawful, just go back to the game @ Jax last year if you need an example of what Hoyer is.

The only one capable of winning the job outright before TC is Mallett.

I don't care which one it is just as long as he can get the job done on the field and can help win some games.

Given the schedule and the quality of the team overall, I think you might end up being the one who is disappointed when the Texans start winning games.

Arent these the same haters who had us going winless last season? Mallett will be just fine. But buck up, ya still have the Colts and AJ to root for.

That would be weird since I predicted playoffs

I didn't say that you didn't predict it, only that the Texans making the playoffs would make you disappointed.

    Interesting theory.

Anywho, saying our starting QB play is gonna be bad shouldn't be controversial to you since you think Hoyer sucks.

I know you are hoping for Hoyer because you don't want the Texans to do well, but you're just setting yourself up for failure.

I actually think Hoyer will surprise and be pretty decent.

    Go ahead, laugh.

Also the Texans McCarthy thing you're doing is annoying

It's not that at all, it's really obvious from all of your posts that you aren't actually a Texans fan and that you actively want bad things to happen to that franchise. Don't worry, you aren't the only one, there's 2 or 3 of you on this board.

No actual Texans fan would be pulling for Hoyer so hard.
