Holy cow, Madden is going to join Al Michaels on Monday Night Football, which means Miller and Fouts are both leaving. The espn.com article has more info and states that Miller was offered a minor role but declined it. Man, I was just getting used to tuning out Miller's babble every Monday night, now I'm going to have to reset my mental tuner for Madden. Those bastards...
I liked Eric Dickerson . . . too bad for him. I didn't like Miller much at all though. I didn't hate him, and I didn't mind him, but I'd much rather have no Dennis Miller than otherwise.
you may be right...but i rarely miss it...it still feels like an event when it the intro starts playing....and when they play the old traditional MNF theme song. can't wait to see the Texans on MNF!!!!! man, i'm so pumped about them!!!
Im sorry but Eric Dickerson sucked as a sideline reporter. Miller's act got old and The only thing I enjoy Dan Fouts on is on my 1985 copy of NFL Films when whole conversations of his had to be censored.
the only reason I watched MNF was for fouts and I did enjoy some of the stuff Miller said. Madden bores me, I have been playing his fooball games too long, and I am now wondering if he is really alive or they just plug in his voice from the Madden games to do his commentary. the guy is real stale. Michaels sucks, I hate that BABE thing he did with Miller. fouts at least has some football knowledge
So, did MNF use my suggestion of Melissa Stark doing sideline reports from a steaming hot tub wearing a bikini?
Miller was annoying but occasionally funny. Madden is senile and occasionally funny unintentionally. I find senile to be worse.
screw the bikini. and the hot tub. i wonder if players ever hit on stark as she's interviewing them... i can see someone like jeff goerge throwing down the always recommended, "now it's my turn to interview you with my microphone..." line.
