I hate to ruin this for you, but Buscemi doesn't get too far away...

Remember in the movie, the cops are all waiting outside for the right time to make a move, and when Buscemi exits, you can faintly hear yelling and gunshots outside the warehouse. So he either ate it, or he was at the least arrested...

    **** the hero...:)

    SPOILER BEGINS
Maybe I'm just dense about movies, but I really didn't get the ending to Magnolia when it started raining frogs. What the hell was that? If anyone can explain, I'd surely appreciate it.

Sorry moe, sincerely. :) I really thought you were joking at first, so then that just leaves my post as a snotty cheap shot. My bad.

"Anything can happen" was what I always thought it meant, drapg.

I guess you're right. But it came so out of left field that it left a bad taste in my mouth about the movie as a whole. I think I'll stick with my slapstick comedies like "Friday" and sorts. No thinking required, right up my alley!

I don't think you're alone in that assessment about that movie.

How about "American Beauty"? That had a pretty surprise ending, I thought.

Except you knew he was going to die, just not by whom. Chris Cooper said there were some deleted scenes about his character's homosexuality and a past partner that was killed in Vietnam. That would've been pretty interesting, I think.

Jeez, two Chris Cooper movies mentioned with him being involved in homosexuality and incest!!!

    Good choices.

    I also liked

Back to the Future - all of them, first one had the best ending.
Indiana Jones - all of them were good, Temple of Doom the best though.
    Event Horizon - very creepy.
Pulp Fiction - if there was an end. ;)
Saving Private Ryan - awesome ending!

The Matrix, T2 and Shawshank all had great endings, exactly the way I wanted them.

Although predictable Gone in 60 Seconds and Armageddon had good enings (to me). :)

    Magnolia sucked!!!

He was joking Bob! I can't believe you didn't get his dig at Affleck, you must be joking too. Well I thought it was a bit of witty banter even if it was on accident. Wellllll Plaayyyed!....

And for RM95, I am sorry dude but UNBREAKABLE? That movie is another example of what Isabel was talking about when she mentioned the "No Ending" warning.

    Spoiler Discussion-
I saw an interview with PT Anderson and he said that the idea for the frogs in the film came from when he heard a news report about frogs raining in somewhere like alabama and he thought that it would be a great way to add urgency and chaos to a climax of a movie. He thought that the real phenomenon of frogs falling from the sky would make people expect a sci-fi type ending and make them pay closer attention to the character interactions.

Uh, you must've stopped watching before the ending then...it was pretty clear what happened.

I saw the ending of "Unbreakable" coming a mile away. I guess knowing it was a Shyamalan production made me think outside of the box fromt he time the lights dimmed. I thought it was a good movie with a solid ending.

I liked it to. I didn't understand all of the complaints... I was a little let down when I saw it in the theatre, but I still enjoyed it.

It's hard for me to not like a movie with Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson in it. ;)

People were expecting a The Sixth Sense Part 2, that was the problem.

I remember they were talking about making a trilogy out of it. I wonder whatever happened to that.

(sorry for the interruption, but I didn't want to start a new thread about this.)

    Hey RM95,

You're a movie guru. Do you think "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is a good blind DVD buy? It came out today and is pretty cheap at Fry's. I've heard lots of good things, and I am considering buying it even though I've never seen it. Your thoughts?

I saw it before the hype and liked it a lot. I saw it after the hype and liked it a lot. There seems to be some backlash generating against it, but it's a fun movie, IMO.

BTW, I'm not the movie guru on this board, that could go to any number of people before me...I just write crappy reviews. :D
