I had a job for a few months where I went to Louisiana, mostly Lafayette, all the time and so I was able to have a regular supply of real good Boudain. I'm not at that job anymore so just wondering if there are any places in Houston to get some good fresh Boudain. So far I've only tried Hebert's and it was OK. thanks
I used to buy boudain from Burt's on a regular basis, until one of their employee's who was attending customers behind the counter went berserk on me! He was high on something and was being belligerent towards everybody and I guess he didn't like the way I looked at him. He started saying how he was going to jump the counter and come after me, in another time in my life I would have enjoyed the challenge, but I just grinnedgrin and walked away... I haven't been back there ever since, too bad for me I guess, they had some really good boudain! ....... ....... .......
Southern Maid Donuts has excellent Boudain Kolaches. Not sure where they get the Boudain. I asked once, and they said they had shipments coming in from Louisiana. That stuff is bomb!!
