    Full Sail Session Black

    http://www.fullsailbrewing.com/session-black.cfm

From a local brewery here in the NW. Hood River, OR to be exact.

I know jack about beer, think most of them taste the same, and rarely indulge... but I like this one.

    Shiner Prickly Pear 7/10

Had it as a mixer 6 pack and it was the best Shiner I tasted so far. Although, a bit citrusy it was not overbearing. On the contrary, the Ruby Red was a disappointment and too fruity.

    Southern Tier Pumpking 9/10

Fantastic beer, full of spices & that fresh pumpkin taste. Dessert in a bottle. If you want to get into a fall/football mood, this is what I would suggest.

    Harpoon Cider 7/10

Extremely light and easy to drink. It's an apple cider, brewed w/ local NC apples, so this drink also tastes incredibly fresh. Giving it a 7 b/c I don't think it's as good as Woodchuck (who by the way have a Pumpkin Cider out that is ridiculously good).

Has anybody tried the Bells Hopslam IPA? I've been trying to get my hands on a bottle of that for almost a year, but apparently it sells out w/in minutes!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale might be the best affordable beer in the world.

The balance between the hops and the malts is exceptional.

Pearl - 3 - It was old, but at least it was cold. Had it been fresh might had gotten a better rating.

Had a Shiner last night at dinner. It's not my favorite beer, but it's a dependable choice that's decent. 6/10

9/10. This beer brings some of the best parts of belgian ales together and can be had for under $4 a glass. I am drinking this almost exclusively right now.

Last beer I had was boring. Bombshell Blonde. That last cool beer I had came from Holy City Brewing in South Carolina. My favorite beer of all-time. Forgot which particular brew it was though. :(

    Great idea for a thread

Just some stuff I've had this week

    Trippel, New Belgium - 9.1/10
Probably my favorite beer that is sold in 6-pack form. Brewed with coriander, its just amazing.

Peach Porch Lounger, New Belgium - 5.7/10
A rare miss from New Belgium. Real Peach Juice is used and I think that was a mistake. Too sour and a bit watery honestly. It was tough to drink.

    Turbodog, Abita - 8.2/10
I always grab this on tap at The Sink in Boulder. Not too much fruit and lots of malt. A really tasty drink to have once in a while.

Gulden Draak, Van Steenberge - 10/10
The only beer that will ever get a perfect score from be. A flawless beer imo.
