I'm taking a diagnostic tomorrow to see where I stand. I'm going to take a prep course, but I haven't decided whether I want to take the test in June or October. October would give me more time to prepare but I'd worry about the test all summer. I've come to the conclusion that waiting will increase my anxiety more than my score. I hate tests.
To all the lawyers in this thread, what law school did you go to and when? I went to UH and got an LL.M. in '96, then took the New York Bar Exam (couldn't take the Texas one, you need a J.D. for that).
Smokey, is that the Kaplan diagnostic? That's the only prep work I did for the LSAT (it was free), beyond using a practice workbook. It helped to go through a simulation of (pseudo-)real testing conditions and the walk-through afterwards was a bonus. Det, I went to UT and graduated 2 years ago.
I had a J.D. equivalent from a German law school, then you can go straight for the LL.M. in the U.S..
