    That's not the way a last-second shot is handled. Doesn't it just have to be released (not in the posession) by the shooter? Are there any rules that say you can't shoot a bounce shot?

    I can imagine it being ruled that way, but not necessarily so and there may even be variance between high school rules, college rules, and pro rules.
