I believe when you look at their profile info, you won't have the ability to 'start a conversation' with them. The first image is from a banned member, the second from an active member.

 

I don't think that's it, there are active members here who have opted out of the pm option but are still active members

 

Then I have no idea how to check. However, I do know I used to be able to message the poster that is banned

Anyone can post what they want, when they want.owning the message here is like cutting warm butter.

what made this bbs fun was the characters. Shame for the site to lose steam and traffic under the weight of it's own stubbornness.

After 20 years of banning and petty censoring not respecting the board characters and the sum of the parts that the characters made it....you would think that might finally sink in about the characters and try to not be petty.. instead good posters leave forever and if they want an alt is created. Alt troll accounts outliving the banned accounts lol..Good work!!

I think that some people are toxic, and you have to get rid of them for the good of the community as they chase off good people - others need time off to cool down and reset (ehem).

It makes sense to keep a stern hand on the BBS - trolls chase off the ones you want to keep.....that is why Facebook and Insta and other Social media platforms are so dangerous they spread lies and misinformation without any checks and balances......we need checks and balances.
