It wasn't that hard. A few days after the 2007 non-natural disaster collapse of the 35W bridge over the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, the House and the Senate unanimously voted to send $250 million in emergency assistance, and Bush signed it to aid in the cleanup and rebuilding of the bridge. Right, it was a design flaw that dated all the way back to the original design in the 1960s. Congress didn't wait around to figure out the cause or who was responsible before providing assistance. They immediately provided emergency funding. I believe the bridge rebuilding ultimately cost ~half a billion dollars, with the federal gov covering about $400M and the state covering the rest.
I feel bad for you dude...............everything in your life is a conspiracy theory The deep state boogeyman is around every corner.
I am surprised the magas didn't require the bridge renamed after trump before they would support rebuilding it...
It doesn't make sense for Republicans to tie up federal funding to replace the bridge. Larry Hogan is running for the open Senate seat in Maryland and has a chance to win since he's a popular Republican governor. Denying reconstruction funds is a self-own in a state where Republicans aren't usually competitive in Senate races.

I get the feeling this isn’t an extremely rare occurrence but in most cases a cargo ship losing power is handled without major incident.
interesting thread about network security afloat. does not look like it would take much to hack most non-military ships. Spoiler this does not mean I think the Dali was hacked. I have no idea. just...it would not be that challenging for a skilled hacker
I haven’t researched it which is why I said it was a feeling. I highly doubt these have been the only two times that cargo ships have lost power while in harbor.
