Always a great night when both the Astros and Rockets win.

Looking forward to watching Clemens pitch tommorow... but honestly, our bats should be ALIVE against Fassero.

    Morgan!

Big opportunity with the bases loaded and he strikes out and never takes the bat off his shoulder. Viz follows up with a single.

    5-1 Astros.

    Clemens 2 run single.

    7-1 Stros.

Clemens with 50 pitches already through 2 innnings.

    Bullpen may be needed today.

Rockies are teeing off on Clemens now. 3 hits in the inning, including 2 HRs.

Ugh, I absolutely HATE playing in Colorado. Joke of a ballpark.

True dat... but because the ball carries so well there, they have to make the dimensions so damn big.

And because of the big dimensions, A LOT of balls fall in the outfield, or get to the gaps, because the OF's can't cover all of that ground.

I know they experimented with using heavier balls there, to minimize the effect of the reduced air pressure, but haven't heard much since then.

Honestly, the difference would be minimal to the pitchers and fielders, but even the slightest change in density can have a huge effect on how the ball carries.

Why can't they do this?!? (Probably because the rare air benefits their team more than it hurts them).

Wendell almost just hit Bags in the head. And Bags, was not happy.

If I were the Rockies, I wouldnt be digging in the next inning with Clemens pitching.

There goes Clemen's great ERA for this season.

Oh well, it was awesome as it lasted. Please finish off the 6th Clemens. he doesn't seem to have his stuff. His fast ball is kind of flat, perhaps it's because he is at 100 pitchs already.

You have got to be kidding me.

I can't BELIEVE that Clemens doesn't get that call against Denny Hocking.

    UNBELIEVABLE.

If anything, the umps should have a generous strike zone in Denver. This umpire has been squeezing Roger all day.

Im disappointed that the Rocket didnt buzz anyone.

Miceli with the single. WOW both our pitchers have hits today!!! :D
Biggio has been hit by a pitch, 2nd time this season. 243rd time in his career.

Bagwell is getting the intential walk. Bases loaded. 1 out. Hidalgo up to bat!!!!! :D :D

EDIT: Doggy doesn't step up. POP up in the infeild. Berkman up to bat with the bases loaded. A grand slam sounds good now Berkman!

why would you walk bagwell to load the bases with Hidalgo of all people? I understand the double-play concept, but the way Hidalgo has been hitting this year?

    EDIT: good call :(

Let alone today! Hidalgo has had a good day with 3rbi's.

    Oh well.

Hidalgo didn't hurt them, just hit a pathetic pop up.

Berkman up to bat with the bases loaded! He had a HR in his last at bat. Go Lance!!!

EDIT: NOthing , the stros just missed a great opportunity there. Atleast we are winning.
