yeah...was just gonna say, 5-4 Bucs...watching it on my brand new WinTV over my computer...ooooohhhh...aaaaaahhh!! loving this thing!!!
Bucs still up 5-4, and the Expos are beating the Marlins 1-0. I hope at least one of these sticks, because I don't like our chances tonight.
I have one of those. However, I can't use it any longer because I lost my computer room. We moved the computer to the living room so I just watch the big TV when I am in there. I did really like it when I used it though.
yeah..i have warner cable hooked up in our office, so i just tied into it. flipping back and forth between yanks/royals and cubs/bucs while working on a motion to compel production in another window. also a heaping helping of the weather channel. simply. amazing.
i don't know why y'all fret so much over prior. i cursed him by making him my #1 keeper and i put him in the lineup every time out. today it is being counteracted slightly by oliver perez also being in my lineup and by the fact both are getting shelled (thanks guys) so prior will be out pretty soon but i think we're safe.
Giants have an absolutely brutal schedule down the stretch. I think that will do them in. Cubbies have the easiest schedule left, by far, so they're the odds-on favorite at the moment.
All the major sports companies get their stats and information from the same source so when one is messed up all of them will be. Even Yahoo was messed up. They all get the same information so you have to go to a local place that doesn't use their database of statistics to get something right.
Astros have 5 against the Cards and 3 against the giants. Cubs have 2 against the Marlins and 3 against the Braves. Florida has 2 against the Cubs and 3 against the Braves. San Fran has 3 against the Astros, 6 against the Padres, 6 against the Dodgers. Padres have 6 against the Giants and 3 against Dodgers. Cubs and San Fran are in the lead. Astros are 1 back Fish are 2.5 back Padres are 3 back we can cross off the Giants and the Padres because of the difficulty of their schedules. The Astros have to go on a tear, but I think it is theirs. The cubs will implode...they're the Cubs! It's what they do!
Cubs have 19 games left and have a 2 game lead in the loss column. I can't see them going worse than 14 - 5 down the stretch, given that cake schedule. If that's the case, the Stros have to go 15 - 2 to surpass them, 14 - 3 to tie. A thin chance, still. It was the Stros, not the Cubs, who fell apart down the stretch last year (Cubs waited til the NLCS to do that).
More like waited till 1 out in the 8th inning of game 6... in a series they were up 3-1, and up 3-0 in the game with their ace on the hill. Man, on paper... it seems even more surreal.
I don't know... schedules may say Cubs but I still think Chicago sputters down the stretch. As if a sign from above, the Giants won all five coin flips at the MLB office today. 'stros need to not only stay focused but I think they need help from the Dodgers and Padres...
Yea... but they've got basically one hit (the Berkman one should have been an error), and Morris doesn't look like the "Mr. Hyde" version that normally gets torched, thus Carlos needs to stay on top of his game. We need another big inning to start feeling good about this one. EDIT: I must say, Carlos pitched a very good game today. He just gave up the HR, and the 2B after the walk... but he never really got into real trouble tonight, limiting is walks and getting key guys like Pujols and Renteria to go hitless. Too bad the 'Stros have been even less effective against Morris.
110 pitches or so by morris and we ground into a DP for the 7th inning :| damn shame we weren't more effective against morris.
