You have to factor in significant raises for Wandy, Bourn, Keppinger, Lindstrom and Hunter Pence unless any or all of them stink it up. Plus you have a mutual option on Bret Meyers for 8 million, and a 15 million option on Berkman. If you brought all of these guys back you're looking at about $75-$80 million before you add 2B,3B, and fill out the roster.

 

When you have a man on 2nd with no outs and the heart of your order due up, there is a pretty high expectancy that you will score a run..... for most teams.

Of all people to earn a walk, it's Humberto Quintero. He went like 2 months last season without a walk and has a hideous walk rate for his career.

When the opponents top 3 in the lineup start 6/6, you aren't in for a good day. This is similar to what Renteria and the Giants top of the order did to us.
