    Not to dampen everyone's mood, but I know some of you have to be concerned. How often does something like this go right and meet expectations? Shows that take such a hiatus tend to lose some/most of their magic (Futurama). It's better than no new AD, but I am a little hesitant that the show will be able to return to form.

    I think Futurama is just as good, if not better, than it was before. They didn't miss a step.

    However, cartoons are easier to pick up where they left off. We'll see. Don't be a debbie downer.

    This is the character Will Arnett was meant to play, not that lame ass new show. The entire cast was just awesome.

    I personally think Futurama has fallen off a bit. The initial return (the movies and first Comedy Central season) was still very good, but this latest season isn't nearly as funny or entertaining to me.

    I don't think Arrested Development will have that problem though, since they're only doing 9-10 episodes and a movie.

    This is a pretty remarkable (and fairly recent) trend in television. It started with Family Guy getting a second chance after great DVD sales, then Futurama got a second chance due to very popular syndication on Adult Swim, and now Arrested Development. Are there any other shows that have been taken off the air and then given a second chance?

    I'd be much more concerned about a new ongoing series. This limited run up to a film is very achievable. There is a worry that it'll go Simpsons Movie on us, but I've got faith. The characters and acting made that show, not the endless running jokes.
