only 5 catches the last 3 games. i know defenses respect andre but he doesn't seem to be getting any separation. he's been such a major cog in this prolific offense the past few years, it's disconcerting watching our pro bowl WR barely catching the ball.
no, i'm more worried about cushing... feel bad for the dude... going back to your home town and getting injured like that.
Not really concerned about Dre, he will bring it sooner or later. The big problem is losing Cushing for the whole season. That's more concerning than Dre's struggles.
I'm not concerned with his lack of catches, he has had two uncharacteristic drops the last few weeks but I am concerned with lack of targets.....It's nice that they don't have to force feed it to him with all the other options but you do like to see the main guy get his....
think we are trying all options. dre is still a threat but running game is doing well and eating up clock. he is fine with it. trust me, when its playoff mode n the running game gets stuffed, its dre n tight ends time.
I'm worried that his best days are behind him and these type of disappearing acts are going to become more common. He's still going to finish each year with top 10 numbers, but they're going to come in bunches against poor competition.
cushing can't help the team now. ultimately, it doesn't matter who scores or catches the ball as long as they are moving the chains. it would just be nice to see Dre more involve.
Let the safety & corner play him deep. It opens up the TE/WR2 in the middle of the field while the LBs respect the run game at the LOS. So long as he's willing to stay professional and un-diva like, he really helps make this offense versatile-even as a decoy.
I think the game plan for opposing Ds has been taking away dre and giving them OD. If dre catches that easy ball he dropped but he was looking at all the open real estate, there wouldn't be any worries. I'm still listening to the sr610 i can't stand uncle greg. wish they'd left lance handle post game duties.
I think Dre will get it together. He's a professional and will find ways to contribute even if he struggles getting receptions. But I don't think that'll happem.
If Kevin Walter is getting enough room for Schaub to force a pass, then separation isn't an issue for Andre. He's no Braylon but the drops are worrisome.
It does seem like he's slowly losing some speed but that isn't really his game. I guess defenses are just focusing in more on him. He's just too good of a receiver to be only getting 5 catches in 3 games though.
Definitely. Wasn't getting much separation at all and even ran a few bad routes. I have faith that he'll get it together, maybe not on top of the league anymore though.
If he only gets 1 catch a game while taking a large chunk of the opponents attention, giving easy opportunities to the other receivers, I'm fine w that. He's getting older and beat up. But when we need him, he'll show up.
I just want him upright for the playoffs. He still can attract double and triple coverage which means someone else will likely be open.
Let's be honest. His numbers are watered down bc of our defense and rushing offense. We don't need him to do that much and I'm fine with that.
