Wow, DaDakota is getting destroyed -- -- there appears to be quite a bit of animosity on this board. Your posts never really bother me, but I can tell when you’re being serious and when you are just trying to push somebody’s buttons ---- I take those posts with a grain of salt.
Heck, its condescending to make a whole thread and poll about whether your posts are condescending. Its like you think we have to be prompted to have a discussion about our opinion of you.
It's just too tempting to select "arrogant butthead" because it sounds funny. I can't imagine that the majority really thinks that!
so after a thread's worth of getting your posting habits bashed, you then tell everyone, in a thread asking "are my posts condescending?", that they're too stupid to get your posts.
I thought it was funny....to put a small post like that in this thread. Just tickled my fancy. Again though it is how you read it, I did not call anyone stupid, just that some did not get it when I was winding people up. Sometimes people's intentions are hard to read in a post format or in email, but if you get to know a person or their posting habits, you can kind of tell. How is that calling anyone stupid? Anyway, I don't mind so much, just wanted to see if Jeff was right, and it seems he clearly was in the eyes of a good number of people, and that gives me food for thought. The bigger question is whether I should just throw caution to the wind and become seriously condescending for a while to live up to my rep. DD

No, they're not. I cannot think of any of your posts that are actually attacking anyone. I used to wonder, but several times it seemed as if you couldn't even recall who wrote what in the same thread. I came to the conclusion that you don't mince words, and are just expressing your opinion w/o spending a lot of energy or time perusing the thread to determine whether you're stepping on toes. Isn't that just a very guy kinda thing? With my interpretation, I don't think you are ever condescending. Some may try to argue that you could still be condescending to a concept or opinion, but so what? The bad part of condescension is the personal attack part, I don't see you doing that, so this is no big deal.

Max, After doing it, and seeing the reaction, I highly DO NOT recommend it. Although I think your posts are much more moderate and well tought out, I tend to not try to convince others, as to make a point. You are very nice at posting up info and making your point. You would probably not get too many butthead votes, though I would vote for it, just because. DD
Yeah I was thinking about starting a thread and poll called, "Are my posts pedantic?" but I decided we've probably had enough navel gazing narcisism for awhile.
