[Apple+] Foundation Series

Amazed there is so little talk about this. Haven’t seen the series yet but am a fan of Asimov and read the whole book series. For anyone who’s seen it yet how’s it going?

I'm very interested in watching this series once it's complete.

I've tried to read these books a few times over my life. The first time I was 8, and they were given to me, the second time in college, then again about ten years ago. They're just too dry and slow for me to get in to. I guess it's the American in me; I need some action to keep me going.

 

Haven't read the books but I like what I have seen from the show, Im enjoying it so far. ngl, I only started watching because I randomly saw black people in space, lol

I've been watching recaps from people who have read the books and they have filled in a bunch of stuff since the show seems to be diverging from the books a bit which is good because I hear the books are damn dry.

@Roscoe Arbuckle is a huge fan of Apple TV

 

The later books 'Foundation's Edge" and "Foundation and Earth" get moving. There's even some sex in them!

 

The first book is a collection of related short stories so if this series is based on those there is a lot of room to fill them up. Also the series from it's beginning to the end even in Asimov's lifetime were written almost 40 years apart. Asimov himself retconned some things and then other authors have also changed the story.

 

Oh, Empire, who is this missus?

 

I’m really enjoying this series. Wish it was all out at once.

 

No homo but I love Lee Pace.

I’ve been listening to the first Foundation Book on audiobook. Getting inspired to watch the series. Might do look into getting Apple + after the MLB playoffs

 

Very good, if not a little difficult to keep track of what's happening.
