I don't think he got appreciably better in 18-19, my issue is you using arbitrary stats to say he did not. I can give you some stats to say he did get better if that's the game you want to play. I also have an issue with you not acknowledging that Capela is asked to do far more than just protect the rim and knock because his percentage is not as good as guys wash are never 8 feet from the rim.
I was when I thought his hair was back to normal Now that I know he still has that patch I can only pray for him and his soul
Shoulda picked up Dwight and shipped capela off for love. Get the same exact production without the playoff meltdowns and a 3 point shooting spacer, and elite scorer and rebounder, in love. That’s as stacked as it gets Dwight Love pJ Harden Westbrook Eric Gordon as a super sixth man Instead it’s pj and Eric Gordon- undersized for positions And no depth at all
Man...golden state love to switch curry on capaela. He almost unplayable in late game situations to me. I don't know? FIBA might vote him MVP!
Think he reached his potential. He's a stronger rebounder, is more aggressive in the post up game, has a few pet moves, and has maintained his lob game and quickness. He has a defensive presence. Overall, he checked all of the boxes we originally wanted. I don't see him as an All Star level talent, but he's one tier below. That's enough for this team. Thought his ability to switch on D would be better, but that's ok, few big men can make that switch onto a pg, so that's not a selling point.
Harden would immediately ask for a trade and Dwight would be pan handling his lust in the locker room for a new bbf...
Yes still a believer. This dude is nine hundred feet tall. He moves well Hes never going to be olajuwon but I see him as a mutumbo with more offense. His shot blocking is something. Curry or lillard will torch him in iso maybe but we send newly signed gordon to guard either of those 2. Curry and lillard will also be in the hall of fame
I'm hoping this is going to be the year he plays his best ball yet. Yes, I still believe he can and will get better. Come on Clint, just do it!
Didn't think this deserved it's own thread, so tried searching for a suitable old thread. I had to get to Page 2 before I found a thread that wasn't a negative Capela thread or a thread asking if he could be traded. Last 5 Games: 16 ppg 19.2 rpg 3.6 bpg 68% FG Is the Clutchfans' Capela Seesaw back on the way up?
I owe an apology to him. Hated how he started the season and was really worried. He sure turned it around right now.
