Where will the madness end?

Makes sense (and I totally agree on the grapes from around here), but if you have space for a coop, I think you should let her have chickens. Fresh chicken has so much more taste than what you buy in the grocery store, and you get the added benefit of fresh eggs. The only thing keeping me from having chickens is the lack of a privacy fence and my expectation of my neighbors' response.
