Wow, Kobe needs 6 more points... Whats the record for most 50 points game in a row. And you can't hate Kobe for taking so many shots just to get to 50. The guy is on fire going 14-22.

I don't know who thought Kobe would have 50 again tonight but damn hes proving something.

the lakers need to calm down. all of a sudden they're winning the 3rd by 19 and up 18 for the game. don't blow 'em out too bad and not let kobe play the 4th.

damn i just realized this is actually on tv on nbatv. kobe with 44 thru 3 right now.

Kobe is going to be one worn out old dude by the time he is 32. Dang, doesn't he understand the value of having teammates take a load of the offense until crunch time? Will he ever get it like Jordan and Hakeem did?

it's wilt and i wanna say they said something about a 12 game span last night. but that may have been 12 different times he had a 3 game streak of 50+ so that could be wrong. but kobe's the only one besides wilt to have 4 straight games of even 45+ so this would be 2nd behind all of wilt's 50+ streaks.

KOBE is an arrogant dude, but you gotta hand it to him. Being able to score 50 , 4 times in a row is amazing. It's especially amazing that teams know he's coming out to score 50 and tries to stop him, but he just plays 'em like a puppet.

No way, not better than Jordan or Shaq, both of whom had much higher shooting percentages.

damn, the hornets went the b**** route in the 4th and just started doubling kobe, even though they just left everyone else wide open and gave up a score on about the last 8 possessions.

I don't know, r u supposed to sit back and let a player just 70 pts. on you without even trying. They actually slowed him down when they doubled.

slowed Kobe down, yes...but as francis 4 prez said, they gave up a sh!tload of completely wide open baskets for their other players and it just looked plain stupid to be honest. how is that any better?

He's just lucky not to have faced Battier. I put an asterisk by his accomplishment.

Kobe scored 50+ points for 4 straight games. *

*Did not face Shane Battier during that span.
