All I gotta say is history indicates that guys over about 7'2" are just about guaranteed to have leg/foot problems.

In my mind, I'm playing the long game on Wemby. Let them have their fun while they can. When you're on top of the world, everybody is fair game.

When Wemby has to retire at 28 because he can't walk anymore without an IV morphine drip, we'll see how much **** they are talking then.

The Kevin Durant trade did not set the Rockets back. Jalen Green is not good nor worth his contract, and Dillon Brooks is nowhere near as good as Durant. What is setting the Rockets back is neither Alperen Sengun nor Amen Thompson figuring how to consistently make perimeter jump shots. They cannot play together offensively unless one of them learns to shoot. Considering they are in year 5 and 3, respectively, that’s a problem. Either they fix this, or one has to be traded for a better fit.

Alperen Sengun not giving effort defensively is also a major problem. The Rockets would be in the play in at best if they didn’t make the Durant trade.

No pride, no fight, no heart, no care.

    Only us, embarrassed fans.

Warriors are our daddy, just spanked us again with their G League team. No one cares. But that ****’s embarrassing. Is anyone in the organization tired of losing to that ****ing team? ANYONE?! Obviously the kids weren’t here for the Harden years and Snake was on the other side but they did lose to those fools last year. No one cares though.

Spurs have passed you, exposed you and are now anonymously talking ****. And don’t forget Gumby fist pumping on draft night when the Rockets came up fourth. But again, no one cares.

And as you said Shook, we got the worst, dumbest, most stubborn guy from “Pop tree”. He may have coached with Pop but he ain’t no Pop disciple.

It set us back in that the Rockets prematurely determined that they were ready to win a championship and they were no longer in development/talent acquisition mode. They seemed to be certain last year that they had stars in Amen and Sengun but those guys aren't stars. We would've been better off using our first round pick in last year's draft than trading it for KD even if it meant being a play-in team at best because we are not winning a championship while KD is here.

Those guys are fast coordinated athletes too. Amen and Tari are the only ones our team that can match their 40 yard dash times.

Pick who you think is fastest athlete out of: KD, Jabari, Sengun, and Reed

Now pick who you think is the slowest out of Fox, Harper, Castle, Champagnie, Johnson, Vassel, SGA, Caruso, Wallace, Williams, Dort, Mitchell, Wiggins, Joe, McCain.

Throw the ball 30 feet away and see who gets it.

I don’t think we have enough athletes.

I completely disagree. Kevin Durant is significantly better than anything the Rockets would have drafted at #10, including Cedric Coward. It also wouldn’t change the fact that the Rockets two best young players need to get in the gym and address their shooting weakness.

The Rockets need more talent consolidation trades to land a superstar or have the 2027 Nets first-round pick land them a true franchise player.

They also need to have the guts to possibly move on from either Sengun or Thompson for a better fit since two non shooters cannot function together offensively in today’s NBA.

Technically they did not implode, they just suck at closing out games, mostly against tougher opponents, also playing down to bad teams.

KD is supposed to help as a closer and in the beginning he did, but not recently.
KD is also just a jump shooter, he is not tough inside the paint.

Teams that are imploding include the Sixers and the Mavs before AD got traded. Indy is just awful.

with you right here. This is the shot that either lights a fire under the coaching staff and players or cooks them into a first round disaster.

I’ll take either one at this point.

Where so wrapped up in spacing, stars, and schemes that we completely neglected speed.

The team speed difference between us OKC or Spurs is ridiculous. We’re over here talking about scheming to get KD and Jabari better looks while their scheming to have 5 faster players than KD and Jabari on the court who can all dribble, pass, and shoot.

Its inherently easy shots vs difficult shots.

They are not 4-1 better and normally u would not play a team 5 times......thank you, In season NBA CUP!

Actually it helped the Thunder to collect Data on how to beat the Spurs, oh surprise, it is Wemby who is making it tough.

Credit to the Spurs, they are the reason, the Thunder are not running away with a 50-7 record right now. Like they are a legit Top 3 team with that many young players.

But also the reason, the Thunder will figure it out, due to them posing a big problem early on.

Yes, the coin flip that’s Wemby’s health is always in play. We talk a lot about “gravity” on this board. And there is no one with more gravity in the NBA than Wemby. Remove him from the Spurs and they’re an also ran.

You have to shoot lights out against the Spurs, that is how u beat them........the Rockets never picked anyone up at the deadline.

Wemby almost shuts down the Paint by himself.

So they deserve to suck.....as the Spurs player stated.

I do not disagree in totality, I just think implosion would mean the whole franchise is dysfunctional......

which is not the case even if Stone, Udoka, the Fertittas are really unlikable individuals.

They are just really not thinking outside the box and too obstinate for their own good.

I know you don't like Stone as a GM and I agree with 99% of the stuff you say on this board, but if this was supposed to be a shot at him I don't see how it's called for this time. We just didn't have the chance at a guy like Wemby, Cade or even Flagg.

You could make a case about some of our picks, but we would never get a superstar anyway.

That being said, yes he could have done much a better job building the roster around our prospects and I'm in no way shape or form happy with his work as a GM.
