Shin bruise. X-rays negative. http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2013/09/andre-johnson-leaves-early-with-injury-again/ How long do shin bruises usually keep guys out?
I had one that was painful for 3wks and kept me from full on running for more like 6wks. For a superhuman like Andre they'll probably call him day to day, but on the field he won't look like Real Andre for at least 2wks.
Blessing in disguise. Perhaps now Hopkins will get some earlier and more consistent deep looks. As the field stretches, Aryan and the TEs should have an easier time attacking the soft midfield.
Or Sherman will lockdown Hopkins completely as expected. No such thing as a blessing in disguise when Dre goes out and we play the Seahawks next week. Sherman is going to eat Hopkins alive. I hope Tate and Foster have a HUGE day should Andre miss some time.
any time your no 1 receiver goes down there is no blessing in disguise we know what Hopkins is capable of. Dre going down is not what we need right now. we need martin to step up and Schaub needs to play with some fire in his soul jeebus he looks like a kid who just dropped his ice cream cone at the carnival and all the wants to do is pout about it.
Sorry, I meant that Andre being a little hobbled is a blessing in disguise, not him being out. Regardless, the talent is there when it comes to Hopkins. The way he elevates so quickly with great hands and a feel for the game can overcome a lot. The biggest thing is Duane Brown...
Hopkins vs Sherman should be interesting, don't think the rook is ready for it. If only we were playing the Jags this week, then it would be a good bye week kinda thing for us as we get to focus against a hilariously crappy team, and guys like Hopkins can get that practice of being the #1 and Brown can get another week of rest.
I've had shin bruises. Hurts like hell, but once the adrenaline starts pumping you won't notice it at all.
Well, regardless of adrenaline, the moment right after a shin bruise is pretty damn painful. Not painful enough to keep you from running, but painful enough to prevent you from putting weight on your leg full speed.
I was being sarcastic y'all! I got a jersey with the number 80 hanging up in the closet. We all know he's a beast. I think about that td against the Cardinals all the time.
