First off, this just a concept, it has not been adopted by the team. Second, I did NOT create this. Its was member dgnmrwrw at the Chris Creamer board, a place where people design logo concepts for teams. I am posting this cause I feel its so good, Astros fans had to see it. Hopefully form here, it will circulate itself to the Astros organization, who needs to see it the most. Like pinstripes are to the Yankees, "the Rainbow" has become this team's identity. Its different, its unique and it made this team a fashionable statement that everyone remembers. In the past decade, we have tried to go away from that, tried to adopt a look that was up to date, with the times. I feel now its time to go back to what this franchise was all about. Orange Whoopass!!!!!!! I feel the only thing wrong with this is the shade of blue, which needs to be navy or midinght blue (which was used in the 90's). O
Someone obviously put alot of work into that, but I can't stand it. Alot of it looks exactly like the uniforms they had in the 90's during the last years in the dome. Personally, I love the uniforms they have right now. The home pinstripes, solid white home alternates, the sunday jersey's, I think everything is perfect. I hope they keep these uni's and logo for a very long time.
Valiant attempt...but I don't like them. To me, I don't see anything new brought to the table. I want something different. DAMN YOU! SHOCK ME! BE OUT THERE! BE THE BALL! The Astros need a totally new conceptual design...not a rehash of an existing design. The star needs to go supernova!
That looks horrible. BTW, the Yanks have had pinstripes forever when the rainbow uniform was part of the astros during the 80's and a few years in the 90s. We've always been changing, never settling on an actual identity except for the star on the hat and the color orange which we abandoned like 10 years ago. Rainbows, jesus.
I love the current uniforms. Probably our best ever. Tho our retro seems to be selling like hot cakes.
Nothing will ever top the simplicity of these: or, "Houston, we have a problem".....your image of yourself.
Those are VERY nice . I have for some years been thinking that the current unis with the rainbow colors would look pretty sweet . Is there anyone that could Photoshop this , I'm not that talented .
dude, the uni's we have right now are perfect. classy, understated, easy on hte eyes. i see absolutely no reason to change uniforms, ever. keep the ones we got.
those concept drawings are pretty ugly the rainbow is in the past ..lets keep it there and bring it back only on retro nights
i have no problem with the orange. and i think the red we use now has a very orange tint to it. i'd be happy with a change if it looked like the earliest Astros unis. otherwise, i like the current unis. and i hope we don't change.
