Votes are in. No debating that. We saw last night an epitome of why Altuve is the real MVP. The hustle, the hits, the stolen base, the defense. He does everything.
Some voters and posters will only look at the offensive numbers, not the stress filled days of filling up Dps like a pornstar or stealing 2nd like a pirate. It's not the offensive player of the year award. Again, a non bias observer here. =) 1979 was the last time there was a co mvp. I'd be ok if we had another one 39 seasons later. This crazy mo fo is enamored with Judge's Homeruns. wants to come back in another life as Judge. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...ve-says-vote-new-york-yankees-aaron-judge-mvp
In my mind, I just haven't seen any other outcome other than Judge is ROTY and Altuve is MVP. If not, then f**k this s**t we wuz robbed! If co-MVPs, then better than nothing but still...SCREW THAT!!! What up with dat? What up with dat? I said..>WHATUPWITDAT! Altuve is a LOCK. I can't see it any other way. Good day, Sirs!
26 times a player has struck out more than 190 times, all of them have come in the last decade. The single season strikeout leaders are completely dominated by the last decade. Every one of them is still active aside from Adam Dunn. People strike out these days...a lot.
That they do, but no Player has won the award while striking out over 200 times in the same season. Which bodes well for Altuve.
What tradition? When was the last time a player deserved both? Altuve should win, but if Judge does he's not undeserving.
altuve is so awesome he's getting our coaches interviews to become Boston's next manager. http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/...coach-houston-astros-interview-boston-red-sox I heard the bat boy is being considered for the mets.
While I'm very confident Altuve is going to win it this season, that is going to change. It's bound to happen. 200 k's just isn't looked at the same way any more. If it was still a problem, Judge wouldn't even be in the conversation.
Judge is getting torn apart in the NY media. Who would have thought he can't hit good pitching, while Altuve is ripping base hits off triple digit fastballs.
Though I don't want him to win mvp because he's going up against an astro, that sucks that they're turning on him. Many players struggle in their first appearance in the post season. But I guess they've hyped him up to be Babe ruth so that's their own doing.
