what's the point of this trade? I'm sure when Trae Young said to give him some help he didn't mean Jeff Teague.
They should sign Jamal Crawford, Joe Johnson and Josh Smith to 10 day contracts and bring back the glory days of the late 2000 Hawks.
So, full circles are fun. Get this in 2016, Atlanta traded Teague for 12th Pick in 2016 with 12 pick, they take Taurean Prince This summer, they traded Prince to BKN for Alan Crabbe (plus protected FRP in 2020 -- Top 14 protection for 3yrs) Trade Crabbe for Teague So, through all that they magically got BKN's FRP in 2020 for moving Teague around. Should have just kept Prince.
Turn it into a 3 team trade! Minny in: Westbrook Minny out: Dieng, Covington, Teague, Nowell Atlanta in: Teague, Nowell Atlanta out: Crabbe Houston in: Covington, Dieng, Crabbe Houston out: Westbrook Salaries work out, per ESPN trade machine!
How about a 4 teamer!! Minny in: Westbrook Minny out: Dieng, Covington, Teague, Nowell Atlanta in: Teague, Nowell, Ariza Atlanta out: Crabbe Houston in: Covington, Dieng, Bjelica Houston out: Westbrook Sactown in: Crabbe Sactown out: Ariza, Bjelica Salaries work, per ESPN trade machine Minny gets the ball handler they want! Rockets get *much* bigger! And a stretch 4! Hawks get veteran PG behind Trae! And, uh, Ariza is a good locker room presence! Kings get off the 2 year Ariza deal for a 1 year Crabbe deal! And - most importantly - it will put the Rockets into LTS!!!
Bembry is a good player but he is a woeful 3 point shooter ( sub 30% ). I don't think he fits our current offensive system. He is a scrappy defender so maybe that's something worth looking at.
funny enough Trae Young on that team would have been a great fit. Of course; they also could have drafted CP3 instead of Marvin Williams...
