I just heard the story of the Indian lady that died in Albertsons in North Houston. Some Indian lady was caught stealing some items. Another elderly Indian lady went to see what all the commotion was about. The retarted employees assumed she was an accomplice just because she was Indian. Well this lady get all scared and is about to have a heart attack. When she asked for some water they just ignored her. They did not even call 911 for quiet a while. Well turns out the poor lady ends up dying!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Albertsons gets the hell sued out of em!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, the lady was an accomplice to the shoplifting. She had gone to the store w/ the two other suspects and was with them when they stole the items from the cosmetics dept., but she didn't steal anything. Even so, the way the Albertsons employees, namely the security officer (an off-duty hpd officer), handled the situation was just sad..

ah...I hadn't heard about this. I'll wait till I hear more details before I burn the Albertsons employees in effigy. As a retail veteran, I'm well aware there could be a lot more to this story.

The employees at Albertsons were doing their job as they were trained. They suspected the woman of shoplifting, and they have the right to question her as they did. A sheriff's officer was also present. Now, the woman has a heart attack in custody. Did the Albertsons employees act in an appropriate manner? No, they mocked her and said she was a great actress according to eyewitnesses. They failed to render aid in time. I don't think any jury would side with the actions of those Albertsons employees. For that Albertsons probably will pay in court. Albertsons will lose customers and gain poor media attention by fighting the family in court. Instead Albertsons should settle with the family for pain and suffering, clear the woman's name...I don't think there is anything that can be done different in the future. The woman had a natural death. They should tell their employees to take things more seriously.
I do know the history there. I better concidering I am Indian. And I can joke whatever the heck I wanna joke about. I dont hate Pakistan or anything like that. My best friends and my girlfriend are all Pakistani, SO THERE!
Reminds me of the Dillard incident of course they hog tied the man and he strangled on the restraints while begging them to loosen them Rocket River
