    He's not wrong at all.

Jimi didn't play the blues, he just played Jimi.

    you didn't watch the video.

Even if we ignored the fact that Jimi didn't play blues, rock, country, folk...he played JIMI

(he didn't say that he *didn't*...he said that he couldn't)

The blues isn't defined by the ability to play the scale, its about playing with a sense of feeling that Jimi did better than anyone else. Albert is salty AF, he was a monster but lets be real he couldn't play any of hendrix stuff (at that time)

Anybody that plays Hendrix knows the majority of (if not everything) is straight up blues techniques. The techniques that were used here and there (double stops etc) were popularized and woven into a song as opposed to some formulaic piece because of Jimi. And I don't just say that as a fanboi

Bernard was always the better King, but Albert had his moments.

I did, and I think you misunderstood what I was saying, or I did the otherwise.

    It's all ok.

Damn, the dude died 32 years ago.

Weird thing about all this is that Albert didn't like Jimi's play, but absolutely loved SRV, but SRV loved Jimi and modeled his play off of him. I think they should've all gotten in a room and hashed it all out.
