Have you played basketball? I used to play center in amateur leagues, being only 6'4 230lbs, I was very physical. And guess what, guys might not liked to play against me, but they retaliated for my physical play and every game hurt for me as much as it hurt for them. You don't want our fragile lineup to have that bad reputation. Elbowing Dwight or DMo in their backs would do more damage to Rockets than Dwight elbowing some third tier center to Pels.

 

That's why you sign Kendrick Perkins, who is an enforcer and can do your dirty job for you. You don't want your best players to be goons.
