The rules are different for elite talent. And they should be. You don't ruin good business because of this. You fire the low level employee. You retain the talent. Equitable. No. But It's math.
FWIW, what it seemed to me that Woj was doing was taking umbrage at the attack on ESPN. FWIW2...the attack was fairly justified, although in ESPN's defense there they have been trying NOT to get involved in politics, foreign or domestic. I'm good with that. The only people they had that I thought handled that were Mike and Mike...and that's because whenever they brought it up, they were pretty careful to present both sides. But Mike and Mike is gone now (good job, ESPN!!! You killed the golden goose!), so ESPN needs to just stick to sports. This issue is a good example of that. Stick with the players, like LeBron, and they're anti HK. Take a stand against that, and the NBA and some of the players take offense. They can't win...so better to avoid the fight.
All I can find is an "F You" in the email which seems too abrupt for a person of Woj's intelligence. Is there more to it?
Remember when Woj said a mean word to Hawley and got suspended? Remember when Hawley said some words and incited a riot resulting in a group of terrorists taking over the US capitol in order to stage a coup, one of whom died, and then came back and was like "yeah...so" a few hours later?
Hawley is an idiot. a) S&S is a private company b) It is not Orwellian, because George Orwell was actually a published author.
