Potty Mouthed Perry Texas Governor Rick Perry is apologizing for using an off color expression that was caught on tape by a Houston TV station. Perry had finished an interview with KTRK reporter Ted Oberg about school finance reform, in which Oberg was attempting to get advance details about Perry's school finance plan. Oberg says after he tried to get inside details of the plan, he ended the interview and told the governor, "try as I may governor, I guess I can't win this one." As Perry was turning away from the interviewer, he mocked Oberg's comment, and added a vulgar description, apparently referring to Oberg. "Try as I may, governor, I'm not going to wait that long," Perry is heard saying in a mocking tone on the KTRK tape, followed by the comment, apparently aimed at Oberg, "adios, mofo!" "Mofo" is generally considered to be a 'street' abbreviation of a common two word vulgarism which starts with the letters "m" and "f". After KTRK aired the tape, Perry called the station and apologized, saying he 'spoke without malice.' http://www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=9EA243E2-B0C0-42D4-B13C-E501D71B7DD7 There is an audio clip out there somewhere! i saw this on the news yesterday. some of the funniest **** since gw giving us the finger. i didnt know those southern baptists knew of words like "mofo"
Saying foul language and cursing reporters, doing things that make him appear dumb might just qualify him for a shot at the whitehouse.
http://www.cafepress.com/pinkdome.24775108 Funny thing was I was in my office at work whenever the channel 13 news crew came in to interview Chris Bell about the incident.. I had no idea the Mofo thing had happened.. but my shirt is on it's way!
Doubtful. The report was actually pretty confrontational, and at the end the reporter made a quip that made Perry look bad.. Perry repeated what the reporter said, as if he was amazed at the audacity of him, then thinking the cameras were off, began taking off his mic, etc and said "Adios, Mofo." In other words, he was politely telling him to "f*ck off".
Interesting. It appears that Republicans/conservatives/... are the ones that have been most caught using vulgar languages in public.
It is ironic that politicians from the party most concerned about decency and civility have been caught using obscenities.
