Post all Ackermanisms here. Here's my favorite from last game:

Ryan: How do you like your coffee Craig?

    Craig: Strong and black.

    *awkward long pause*

    Ryan: Chortles

I really don’t like Hollins. Not an Ackermanism, just wanted to mention that :D

When this rebuild is complete, I hope it comes with a new broadcast team.

OP is trying to be the consummate professional and you all are responding with way out references from the parking lot. reported.

Craig: " If Eric Gordon plays, he starts"
    Eric Gordon: "No improvement"

    Still funny!

I do miss the Drexler days, he was pure comedy.

I like how defensive he gets about his height. He's VERY sure that he's six feet tall!

Professional writer/editor here, and the one that makes me wince is when he uses the redundant, "tad bit," which happens several times a game.

Ex: "It's a tad bit short."

Why not add a few more to really sell it, like, "It's a wee little eensie-weensie tad bit short."

While you're obviously correct, tons of people say it. It's kinda like "hot water heater." I can forgive that one!

Be careful. Quin is a lawyer, a better one than Stone.

I just don’t get the “beautiful Secaucus New Jersey” bit. Is it actually nice? Or is it a dump? Is it referenced in a movie? I do miss all the Stripes references from Bull.

It's not too egregious, I'll give you that. But to me, every time I hear it it's like having a tiny piece of brisket stuck between my teeth. :D

I think the point is that Secaucus is just nondescript. And it's in Jersey, which is historically the butt of jokes.

It's def a dump lol, he's just being sarcastic. Kinda funny that the main ref center would be in a random spot like that.

Ackerman is better than Worrell though that's for sure.

hollins is trash and it seems ackerman has to compensate by adding color instead of just calling the games. i suspect if he had a competent broadcast guy sitting next to him then he'd be able to focus more on the play-by-play

I'm with you on this, though my ex-wife excuses "tad bit" because she "kind of likes it" -- I just think of that whenever I miss her, works great.
