It isn't always about offense, he is one of the best defensive catchers in Astros history, most catchers are slow, like Tony. Slugging catchers are always nagged by injuries (Meluski, Piazza, P. One thing I like about 'Subie is that he comes to play everynight. He's not a flashy guy or a star, but he busts his ass on a daily basis. Hell, the guy just wrapped up a 24 game hitting streak.
