Not only that, Rasmus was 2-4 against Hamels and while Valbuena didn't get a hit, he smoked one right at Beltre.
It's usually the front runners of a fan base that want such things. Unless there's an actual upgrade out there, a good one, there's no reason to replace Hinch who has done a phenomenal job with the Astros. He's likely to win Manager of the Year in the AL.
Win. For Hinch. Who's going to manage next year for the team that hired him? Who's in the playoffs this year? How many times have the Cubs won 100+?
This has to be the worst post ever. Hinch is going to go down in history as best coach in Astros lore.
In his defense, that post was in 2014 and hindsight is 20/20. Anyone following the Astros at that time had no reason to be confident in anything the team did.
Is there a Fire AJ Hinch thread, like every other Houston Coach since Clutchfans was created? I’M sure someone will start one if the Astros fall short and they turn Hinch. They already turned on Deshaun Watson after 1 bad game...lol.
Hinch first manager to go a full season without ordering an IBB all season. Not as impressive as Biggio not grounding into a double play for a season though.
Admittedly I was completely wrong about AJ Hinch... but wow, you searched back to find that one? Honestly, my thoughts about baseball (anything really) are not that worth it.
ok, ok, it was a bad take from 2014. I knew I was wrong following his first season and I'm happy I was. I also hated the MDA hire and liked the BoB hire so I guess my instinct on coaches is incorrect. Luhnow is the best GM in Houston and I just didn't envision him being this good. I'm happy I was wrong.
I hated the MDA hire a lot... and my Penn State friend... misled me on BOB... so I am in the same boat.
