No excuses for Harden this time around. This is what you wanted. After our loss last year, “I know exactly what we have to do.” He wanted CP3 traded. Russ wanted to be here and it’s on him as well, fully healed or not. You can’t lose to a guy you traded because he was suppose to be over the hill playing with a bunch of serviceable players...YOU JUST CAN’T.
Yet, this is not true. He wanted RW in addition to CP3, not instead. Just like he wanted Butler in addition to himself and CP3. The plan fell apart once Butler went MIA.
Like Rockets legend Tracy McGrady once said... "It's on ME." And in this case, it's 100 percent true. It's on Harden. Regardless of anything else, it's all on him. He HAS to get it done.
Neither CP3 nor Harden speak much to the other. Even when they were on the same team. On the court, sure, but not much afterwards. They both went their own ways.
you beg to differ based on your pure assumption which is inaccurate yet most of us already know how everything transpired. For the 100th time probably posted which goes along with everything posted by woj/shams etc. And yes Tilman was ultimately the deciding factor of this and panicked pushed the move And Russ only wanted to be here when yet another player left him for a better situation.
Thanks for the info. With all that...Russ and Harden, both former MVPs CAN NOT LOSE to CP3 in Game 7.
Its gonna take the greatest Harden performance of all time to beat OKC with half our team being hot trash and WB being rusty. Like 50 point triple double territory.
Yeah I'm usually not one for hyperbole, but this is legacy defining. Or rather, legacy confirming/reinforcing. Harden (and this D'Antoni era) has already had a number of "legacy defining" games which the team has also lost, but were against some of the best teams of all time and not in the 1st round. Game 7 will quite literally be the end of this franchise as is for quite some time (does anyone honestly think whoever would replace Morey and/or D'Antoni will magically have this team perform any better when all the other teams in the West are only getting stronger?). I think the maximum amount of results have been exhausted from this group. Even though Harden deserves better, the inaccurate narrative of a no-defense, empty-stats, playoff-choking flopper will persist. Sadly the one flaw that may be fair to criticize him on is he's too passive and doesn't have the ruthlessness needed to take over and win at all costs. Pressure is on, but the only way to tamp down the criticism (for now) is to dominate in a blowout win, in a game that shouldn't even have to be played.
Not sure how that makes it better. The worst way to end this year would be to lose to okc in the 1st round after everything thats happened
Last play of the game and Harden doesn’t have the ball in his hands. This exactly what I’m talking about. sMH
Warriors has 3 super big, you cannot say cp3 is bad. They are super strong actually. Change is good, but this year doesn't have warriors. If Houston loses in game 7, it should be due to trade error. We still have chances, if Gordon shoot more 2 and more players stands out for defence and make good accuracy shooting
It’s on Harden who is having a great series?? not EG who is getting outshot by Lou Dort from. Three? Or Russ who is useless? Or MDA who could t coach his way out of a paper box? Its on Harden not to suck. It’s on everyone else to at least be average.
