I see a repeat of the Popeye's fried chicken fiasco except substitute fat chicks for black people on the news...

    LOL.

Seriously, what's the deal with these specials? First IHOP, then Popeyes, now BR? Is it really worth saving a few dollars to put up with all this nonsense?

Instead of BR, go to the grocery store. One step. Not that difficult.

They've been doing this for at least a couple years now, I think. At least I remember it from last year. Didn't go, though.

As someone else mentioned, this is an annual thing for BR.

chain restaurants/eateries been doing this for a while but sometimes the wait is not even worth it

remember last year how that cleveland papa johns had 23 cent large pizzas in honor of lebron?

people lining up around the blocks and waiting up to at least 2 hours for pizza.

i rather pay the 8-10 bucks for a large and be eating something in 20 minutes rather than wait in line for hours. the opportunity cost of doing something like that is enormous.

i went to IHOPs free pancake day and the place was packed that night we were seated in 20 minutes and still ended up ordering other food since it was just a short stack.

compare that to days when i go there and get seated in 20 seconds and have food out in 10 minutes as opposed to the 25 minutes it took that day.

baskin-robbins ice cream quality has gone down over the decades, imo...

if i lived in TX i'd rather just stop at a store and get some blue bell..

There's a Baskin Robbins on University between Kirby and Morningside. I lost my taste for ice cream when I worked there 27 years ago but its still there.

Went to a Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts in Atlanta today. The wait wasn't too bad, maybe 10min. Maybe a 15 person line when I got there with my friends.

$0.31/scoop, max of three scoops. The scoops were small but totally worth a buck for three.

It was much, much better than my Popeye's experience.
