Since we signed Reed, not a priority to draft one high.

The only thing I directionally am afraid of in this statement is “upside.” I keep hearing how raw he is and how few of starts he has.”But, upside…”

But, upside… could be the Texans’ draft strategy in a nutshell for far too long. What I would love to hear, just once, about our draft class would be words like “safe” or “boring.” We seem to come close to relevancy and then get cute rather than going after high floor guys to round things out. Our OL is a historical collection of what if when if we just had “solid” we might have been in the Super Bowl last year.

This isn’t just OL, cause it’s clearly a TE tendency too if not elsewhere, but it’d be nice to stop reaching and missing and be forced to rinse and repeat.

Anyone watch film on Sadiq, curious how he ranks/compares to previous years first round TEs.

Every player is one play away from changing his career path. That goes for rookies and veterans alike.

He’s smaller and looks like the quintessential boom/bust. Measured great at the combine but it didn’t always show on the field.

Same size as guys like Vernon Davis and Chig Okonwo. I think Chig might be a fair comparison as I could see him in the same vein of always hoping or looking like he might pop but stays in that middle tier of ok. But he could break through, he’s just smaller than many TEs nowadays.

Probably don't even have to make a trade; I've seen Proctor dropping down to our spot at 28 in a lot of mock drafts. I definitely dont want to give up pick 69 to trade up a few spots.

He makes me nervous as hell as a prospect...opinions on him from people more knowledgeable than I am are all over the place

Zack Yenser who as an asst OL coach here last year for Texans has ties to Kentucky. (Guarantee that's how Eli Cox ended up on our PS)

Dolphins hired him as their new OL coach.

I would think Zack has inside knowledge and many Kentucky players will be headed toward South Beach.

As much as I hate to admit it, OU is basically Offensive Lineman U. I would not have a problem with an OU guard. Also, F@ck OU!

I couldn't pull the trigger on a LB. The guys I wanted were gone or not good value at the time.
