We need to go at least 8-11 over the next 19 games

That would get us to 15-30, and we know 15-30 can be good enough to make it to the Series

I'm not talking about trading away top players.

I'm saying that's when adjustments like - DFAing Abreu, and changing out some AAA type guys may happen along with maybe considering coaching changes.

    Until then BAU

Gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette.

BTW, the pitching is getting healthy, they're only 5.5 games behind, the season isn't even close to over. Fans around these parts are spoiled.

Why would the White Sox do this trade?

Because Benintendi is terrible and still owed over $60M.

I wouldn't do that deal if I was the White Sox.

I'm not familiar with the 2 prospects, but Chicago is a team that does not want to be down too long.

By not having Benentendi or Abreu on the payroll in 2026 that opens a lot of possibilities.

Much better than having Benentendi on the books through 2027.

Probably irrelevant now that they signed Walsh.

They probably wouldn’t do it either. But I wouldn’t do a worse deal if I were the Astros.

Can we just hire Jeff as an advisor or consultant to balance/offset the baseball player advisors?
