I'm not familiar with the 2 prospects, but Chicago is a team that does not want to be down too long. By not having Benentendi or Abreu on the payroll in 2026 that opens a lot of possibilities. Much better than having Benentendi on the books through 2027. Probably irrelevant now that they signed Walsh.
