Gabbert tested as an elite athlete. There is no arguing that. If Richardson tests anywhere near what Gabbert did people will lose their ****. You may not like it but that is what the facts are.

Levis is nice but right now we don’t have an Andy Reid or Kafka or someone like that to develop him. Like Richardson, they are going to need a truly awesome offensive coaching staff. Although I’m confident Demeco will put a solid staff together, I could see it being a few unknowns.

Bryce Young’s question is his girth, that’s about it. We know he can play QB at a high level and I feel confident about it translating. Hopefully they don’t overthink this.

Those deep balls with barely any breathing room do look enticing too. Id take Richardson low completion % vs Levis throwing the ball to the other team all season long.. I suppose for me, when comparing him to Richardson, I like the value of those 2 better in the lower top 10 vs #2 overall.

Richardson will test better than Gabbs, If I’m wrong about this then I’ll bow down to the master scout.

ETA: Athletically I mean. Combine skills, arm strength, etc. he may overthrow every single receiver during pro days, I have no idea. He’s a complete wild card

He will run 4.5s but the explosion tests will be similar. Gabbert had an elite 3 cone, broad jump and vertical.

Did it translate? No. But he tested stupid numbers. He was also graded a 7.5 on NFL scouting. Perennial All Pro level.

    Boy were they wrong

Put a pin in this, we’ll go back to it.

I predict he’ll run a 4.47 with better 3 cone, broad jump, and vertical

If he runs better than a 6.84 3 cone at his size, it would be among the best ever.
Anything over 10 ft is elite at his size (Gabbert jumped 10 ft exactly)

And I doubt he runs a 4.4 at combine, at pro say I can see it. Fields wouldn’t have ran a 4.4 at combine either

I don’t, but I think Washington has the highest upside

Sucks that Bowers isn’t draftable yet. He’s going to be unreal

    Dude looks like a stud.
Honestly the next two drafts there is some super talented TEs. I would like to grab one

Yeah, I thought that was interesting, but Kincaid jumps off the film...

FA will be a big tell. If they sign a notable vet like Jimmy G, a defensive guy seems a lot more plausible. I’m absolutely calling their bluff if they are relatively inactive though.

But for the Bears, worst comes to worst, they get a Tyree Wilson/Myles Murphy + multiple picks including one or more 1st rounders.

Richardson is a close 2nd. He really should have stayed in another year. However, this is a weak QB class overall. He will probably be the 4th QB overall taken in the 1st. I think he will end up being great if he goes somewhere he can sit for at least a year

Does 2, 33 and a 3rd satisfy the draft compensation/trade value chart? Seems "cheap".
