Figured we could use this thread since every other year of our run* we haven't really needed to watch any scoreboards. Big thank you to the Red Sox who dropped 6 runs in the 7th inning against the rangers last night! I stopped keeping track when I saw the rangers up 5-3 in the 6th and figured their lead would be back up to 3 games this morning. Looks like they have the Nats this weekend. Go Nats! Also, thanks to the Orioles who dropped a couple of touchdowns on the yankees, who are right on our tail for the wildcard. Unfortunately, Toronto swept a double header yesterday so gained a game and a half on us. *besides the COVID year when the A's "won" the division
Well we are almost "half way". I hope they Astros will take over the division by August 1 or sooner. However we need to find the hex the mlb fans placed on the Astros and get this team back healthy. If we lose anymore pitching we are going to struggle to stay in the race. I still feel like the baseball gods are writing another sequel to the Championship Astros. Most of the league is licking their chops are about to be crushed by Altuve and company.
It's time to add TOR and BOS to our watch list. TOR is now tied with us for the last WC spot and BOS is only 2.5 behind. Both have been pretty hot aside from the last 2 games. This weekend Boston has the Mets and Toronto has Seattle.
The Rangers' Julia Morales is terrible. So are their uniforms, fake Tigers logo, organization, and city. Duck Phallus. Oh, and they're down by one now :}
Corey Seager injured his arm or shoulder sliding into 2nd. He had to leave the game and went to the locker-room.
This thread is beneath the Astros. HOU just needs to worry about itself and the rest will figure itself out/fall into place.
Seager on DL. This is our time to make our move with this series against Texas coming up. We take 2 out of 3 and we could be tied or only 1 game back at worst. We need that with the Rays, Yanks and Orioles coming up
