Not sweating the exclusion of Jerian Grant, more excited about the inclusion of Ray Spalding. And is Bruno eligible to be signed to the Vipers?
With regards to Bruno, I think we should just call it in. Many teams have taken a chance and he's shown glimpses (most notable when on the Grizzlies) but I think we have others that need an opportunity to be observed and scouted by the Rockets brass and that we should let Bruno find his bearings (hopefully) in another scenery. He had two shots here and almost every opportunity to show that he has the requisite BBIQ to stick on the court but he just hasn't been there. I was more disappointed when we let go of Hartenstein for Bruno last season. Hartenstein shown in competitive games before we traded Clint while Clint was nursing that heel injury that he could perform his role (rolling, rebounding, cleaning near basket buckets). We even marked Hartenstein as somewhat valuable when trying to include him in a trade with 2 SRPs to the Pistons, ironically, for Christian Wood. That said, I think Bruno's time with the Rockets and Rockets' affiliates is likely done except as a practice player on the Vipers if he's eligible. I'm most excited to see KPJ and how he handles matters on- and off-the-court, away from John Lucas and the vets. That'll be telling.
