Mic'd up players making this game somewhat watchable.... other all-star/pro-bowl games should take note.
Have mics flying all over the place into people's eyes would indeed make the NBA All-Star Game better. I like it.
They're ear piece mics. NBA players are mic'd up for games already... they just never play the audio live.
It's interesting to hear people talk about Alex Bregman in the sense of "And in addition to his bat, he's also a fantastic fielder." I'm not going to throw any shade, because it's been interesting ride for Bregman, but, lest we forget, Bregman entered national awareness because of his glove. Alex Bregman's glove is one of the three Astros World Series mementos in Cooperstown. It was the next season that Bregman became a batting powerhouse, and he's become such an impressive one that many outside Houston forget he was always top notch in the field.
Bellinger went from a 2+ K/BB his first two seasons to nearly even this year (56/54). Doubt that's ever happened in league history.
Surprise, surprise, when you put all the best pitchers in both leagues in one game, you get a pitching duel. Just like last year. The All-Star Break is becoming quite the dichotomy with immense offensive displays the first day and then lockdown pitching the second day. Personally, I like seeing the nastiest pitching in the league all in one place.
