Yeah, this is actually good for them. This series going 6 benefits the Warriors in some odd way because they don't want to rush Curry back and having to start a new series with the Pelicans who had just demolished one of the supposedly best back courts in the NBA might make you rush the guy back.
I dislike the Spurs and San Antonio, in general, but this was a great game. Reminds me of that Rockets series with the Lakers after Yao went down. Love heavy underdogs being fueled by home crowds.
Warriors resorting to Durant isolation basketball down the stretch. What happened to all the ball movement?
[Barkley voice]: GIIIIIINNNNOOOOBILI Emanuel Ginobili is a true professional & I hope he never retires.
The earliest the 2nd round can start is the same whether this is a 4 game or a 5 game series so it doesnt really benefit warriors to lose this game.
It would be a huge mistake to take this gsw loss lightly.... They just didn’t have the energy needed and that is concerning. Remember! This is about championship aspirations. /s
It took crazy 3-point shooting but the Spurs extended it to 5. It's good Manu's last home game was a win. When is the last time a team gave up 17 more offensive rebounds to their opponent and still won.
Yeah, I don't know why people keep acting like extending this series is a good thing for the Warriors. All it does is increase the chances of an injury or fatigue. Not to mention anything can happen. What if the Spurs steal Game 5?
I should have bet all on Spurs if I have known Tony "you ain't" my Brother was the ref. You knew Tony Brutha was going to make this series extend. That's why he's referring the in playoff, to help the NBA
Really? The Wolves aren't playing without their best players like Rockets were with Yao or Spurs with Leonard. The Wolves would've finished third or fourth with their current playoff roster. I consider them underdogs, but not seemingly left for dead like San Antonio now or Houston in 2009.
They actually do have move-up dates though. If GSW won this game then they would have had their schedule moved up, not to the point where they are playing each other Monday, but they would be the first 2nd round games we've seen, considering that Curry is practicing and seems to be day to day, it could make a huge difference if he gets an extra day or two of practice.
