He wont be there when they pick, but I want nothing to do with Orlando Brown. He's too big. He can't get low, every d lineman gets under his pads. He reminds me of Ereck Flowers, or the Alabama linemen where people just fall in love with for the size/strength to the detriment of all the other things linemen need.

Desmond harrison wont play next year with that weight measurement. He's going to need to put on 20+ pounds, and I wonder what that'll do do his quickness.

The more I look, the more I think they shouldn't draft a tackle with one of their first picks. If they draft one, they won't be able to get on the field next year anyway.

I still love Isiah Wynn. He should be a center or guard, but I'd prefer him at tackle to most of the slappies the Texans will have to pick from in the 3rd.

Thoughts on Connor Williams? Weighed in kind of under weight did he drop weight?

I think people will fixate on that arm length, rightly or wrongly. I think you will hear someone at some point who view him as a possible guard. that actually may be a feature, not a bug. someone like Brown is too big to move inside. Williams might be a guy you try outside, and if it doesn't work, you have a backup plan.

Looking at him, he's kind of a beefy dude and a bit shorter. if he does ok in the strength drills I'm not sure weight is as much of an issue for him as for a really long, lean guy.

He would be an OK pick in the 3rd from what I see, but I bet he's gone by then.

Ya pretty sure he dropped some weight, likely to improve combine numbers. UT website and draft profile had him at 315 and 320 which sounds about right for his playing weight. Harrison's 292 is heavier than the 288 listed on his school website and profile so not sure about him.

Yep, hearing OG for Williams and Cappa.

Just what Texans don’t need, fewer OTs in the pool.

Quenton Nelson, Billy Price = 35 reps.

Braden Smith with 35 reps won't even sniff the 3rd round.

Going to be watching Weathersby today, tape and Combine. From Houston, Big Duke thinks he’s pretty solid and may be available in the 3rd.

The Orlando Brown time is awful; for context, Rich Eisen ran a 5.94 in dress clothes.

Looks like Will Hernandez will replace him in the first

Pass sets, covering the edge Group 1

    Daniels +
    Crosby -
    Christian +
    Jones +

From Zierlein, he’s got 6 OL in the first, which is bad news for Texans.

    Mirror

    Daniels ++
    Corbett +
    Brown -
    Christian +
    Harrison +
    Hernandez +

A lot of bad rabbits in Group 1 (gentleman’s agreement?)

James Daniels is going to be great for a long time.
